HOPE Helps. Inc's mission is to prevent and reduce homelessness in Central Florida by equipping individuals and familes to become self-sufficient through Housing, Outreach, Prevention, and Education.

Orlando Sentinel Family Fund: Hardship puts Sanford family on receiving end of charity

Every month, Irene Falzon's family members join their church to serve food to the homeless in downtown Orlando. Even as they help those less fortunate, they are on the receiving end of charity as well.
Falzon's son and daughter are among the 549 children who receive food from Kids of Hope, a Seminole County program that is supported by the Orlando Sentinel Family Fund Holiday Campaign. The goal of the program, organizers say, is to make sure that families relying on the school system for free or reduced lunch have food when school is out for extended vacations. The holidays can be a difficult time, especially during challenging economic circumstances. That's why HOPE Helps Inc. is reaching out to those in need.

Oviedo's HOPE Helps Gala Raises Cash for Those in Crisis

Supporters of Oviedo's nonprofit HOPE Helps, Inc., whose mission is to prevent and reduce homelessness in Central Florida, recently gathered for HOPE's signature annual event, the Heart for HOPE gala, held at Tuskawilla Country Club.
